Mixed Review on Beverages

However, drinks seem to be a mixed bag according to customer feedback. While the Peach Oolong Tea garners attention for its aesthetics, reviews describe a lukewarm and bland taste. Several customers suggest skipping the drink to focus on the robust meals instead.

A Warm Atmosphere with Room for Improvement

Reviews also highlight a cozy atmosphere, albeit with moderate service that can benefit from better communication, particularly for non-Mandarin speakers. Nevertheless, the charming decor and vibrant food ambiance elevate the overall dining experience.

Food good to great. Interesting choices. Service is moderate to good - not bad, but failing to be great by a lot. Nothing fancy. Go and enjoy it.

I agree with the other reviews - the potato noodles are good, the drinks are bad, and if the server has a question (or you do), the communication is tough if you don't know Mandarin Chinese. Wooden Barrel Homemade Potato Noodles - to me, this is their differentiator. I haven't had potato noodles before and this had the thickness of udon with a nice chewy / bouncy texture. The broth had depth and was loaded with bean sprouts, cabbage, mushrooms, peanuts (note - they don't state this on the menu, so beware if you have nut allergies), fish balls, and beef balls. Peach Oolong Tea - really beautiful presentation, but I only took a sip because I couldn't keep drinking the lukewarm blandness. The confusing part is the menu shows a "Social Media" promo for drinks and we thought the promo was meant to ENCOURAGE posting, but it wound up being a MUST POST. We tried asking, but that's where the communication barrier came into play.

Listened to the other reviews and did not get their drink even though it was tempting and ended enjoying my whole meal here. I got the potato noodles in the barrel with the mala spicy and pork spare ribs it was so flavorful and delicious. I've since ordered it on UberEats many times and each time I love the soup and the noodle texture. It's chewy and hot and everything good you want in a spicy noodle soup. Highly recommend their noodle soups!

Really good portions and the noodle buckets were delicious! It was such a unique eating experience. The potato noodles are really QQ and for $16.95 you get a fried egg and a choice of meat with your noodles. Really happy with the amount of food. I went around 5pm so service wasn't too slow, there were maybe 2-3 other tables and a few takeout orders. The only disappointing thing were the drinks. They were super pretty and looked amazing but tasted just alright. The drinks are also served in plastic cups, and then placed inside the bamboo buckets, so it was definitely a bit of a let down.

They fill up a lot of noodles in your bowl, so worth it! My favorite noodles are the braised beef brisket noodles. The restaurant inside is really cute and I love the bamboo themed drinks. I left the restaurant full and satisfied.
